Work Packages
The DAALI project consists of the following work packages (WPs).
The DAALI project consists of the following work packages (WPs).
WP1 - Novel interfaces to photonic devices
We will create two advanced light-matter interfaces based upon nanophotonic systems with unprecedented figures of merit. This work package is led by the Sorbonne University.
WP2 - Exploiting novel collective phenomena
We will experimentally demonstrate enhanced atom-light interfaces using selective radiance, and investigate collective phenomena in chiral and non-chiral systems with high atom-photon interaction efficiency. This work package is led by the Humboldt University of Berlin.
WP3 - Robust approaches to quantum nonlinear optics
We will demonstrate quantum gates with true single photons using both a Rydberg ensemble and a single atom strongly coupled to a WGM resonator, which simultaneously exhibits low infidelities and photon losses. We will also implement novel techniques to realize single-photon-level nonlinearities in optimized atom-nanofiber interfaces. This package will be led by the Weizmann Institute.
WP4 - Dissemination, exploitation and communication
We will effectively communicate the project results to different targeted audiences and identify cases of exploitation potential, and ensure that IP is properly managed. This work package is led by the ICFO – Institute of Photonic Sciences
WP5 - Project Management
We will manage the strategic, financial and contractual issues of the consortium, risk assessment, and internal
communication to ensure project success. This work package is led by the ICFO – Institute of Photonic Sciences
