WHAT IS RESEARCHER’S NIGHT?

The European Night of Research is celebrated every year on the last Friday of September in more than 300 cities in 30 countries across Europe. Its aim is to bring research, innovation and its protagonists, the scientists, to the public in a fun and flat way. Thus, all types of public, from schools, families and children to young people or adults of all ages, will be able to learn about and participate in the science of your territory through different activities such as workshops, talks, shows, experiments, astronomical observations and games.

WHO IS PROMOTING IT?

The European Research Night is a European scientific dissemination project promoted by the European Commission within the framework of the Marie Sktodowsca-Curie actions of the Horizon 2020 program.

In Catalonia, we have been organizing this great event for more than two years now, offering more than 200 informative activities for all audiences in various venues such as universities, museums, bars, libraries and civic centers in the five main nodes of the Catalan territory: Barcelona, Girona , Lleida, Tarragona and Vic.

This year, our motto is “Research for change”, with which we want to convey the importance of the research of Catalan institutions and its impact on our day-to-day life.

We presented the DAALI project here to raise awareness about the project to the general public.
